About Nashoba Drama

The Nashoba Drama Society is Nashoba Regional High School's Drama Program with Mr. Bill Grady as our advisor and director. The Nashoba Drama Society consists of students from Stow, Bolton, and Lancaster Massachusetts, as well as school choice students from other surrounding communities.

Each year, Nashoba offers three opportunities for students to get involved with drama:
  • In the fall, we present either a dramatic or comedic play. Past shows include Auntie Mame, Plaza Suite, Rumors, It's A Wonderful Life, Arsenic and Old Lace, Noises Off, The Man Who Came to Dinner, and We Love Lucy.
  • During the winter, students from each respective class directs, produces, and performs one act plays, for a Class Play Competition night.
  • In the spring, we produce our all-school musical. Past shows include Beauty and the Beast, Chicago, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Annie Get Your Gun, The Boyfriend,  Guys & Dolls, Barnum, Anything Goes, Oklahoma, Wizard of Oz, Grease, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Hello Dolly, Singin' In The Rain,  and My Fair Lady.

For the past several years, Nashoba Drama Society has also participated in the Mount Wachusett Community College Theatre At The Mount's TAMY Awards held in May.  This award ceremony nominates and awards high schools for excellence in theatre for many categories, much like the Tony Awards.

Our Drama Society is a member of the International Thespian Society. Once a drama student has earned enough points to be admitted, by being involved with a theatrical production, they are inducted at our annual Drama Banquet in May. This banquet also includes our "Denny Awards."

Drama members vote for nominees in various categories and in a formal award show fashion, winners are given a chance to make a victory speech. The special night is furthermore our chance to bid farewell and good luck to the graduating seniors.

With very little funding from the school, much of our support comes from the ticket sales of our shows, the donations from parents and companies who buy ads, and a few fundraisers we hold. Be sure to look for our table and face-painting booth at the Bolton Fair. We have also hosted two hypnotist shows with the incredible Steve Wronker.

Thank you for visiting. Please take the time to look around the website for more information on our past productions, our upcoming performances and fundraisers, and much more!
